We are thrilled to announce the publication of our Respitality 10-Year Celebration Report, marking a decade of delivering meaningful short breaks to unpaid carers across Scotland. This milestone report reflects on our journey from a small pilot project in Fife to a nationally recognised social tourism movement, powered by kindness, community, and collaboration.

The report highlights the evolution of Respitality, showcasing the incredible partnerships formed with local businesses, carer organisations, and supporters. It explores key themes such as innovation during adversity, the power of community engagement, and the vital role of short breaks in supporting unpaid carers’ wellbeing. With over 8,000 unpaid carers supported and nearly £900,000 worth of breaks donated thanks to donations from over 800 tourism, leisure & hospitality businesses and partners, this report is a testament to what we can achieve together.

A heartfelt thank you to every unpaid carer, donor, delivery partner, supporter and colleague who has contributed to this journey. Your generosity and commitment have made Respitality what it is today—and we can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will bring.

We invite you to read the full report and celebrate with us. Whether you're a business interested in donating a break, an unpaid carer looking for support, or someone who simply wants to make a difference—there’s a place for you in the Respitality movement.
